Sailing and Paddle Boarding in Croatia
We spent a week sailing and stand up paddle boarding in Croatia and never had so much fun in our lives. Tip #1 Plan to Spend Time By The Water in Croatia
Make sure you plan to spend time by the water in Croatia to experience some of Croatia’s beautiful water and beaches. The great news about Croatia is the fact that the country is on the coast so no matter where you go, you will find some water that you can swim, sail, stand up paddle board, sail, or do some type of water sports in while you are there.
We were lucky enough to spend time on a double hull catamaran for 7 days sailing the Adriatic Sea and did not do Yacht Week. Yacht Week is amazing, but we had 8 people on our boat that consisted of 2 families so we were able to rent a boat, hire a skipper, and a cook for 7 days and share 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms without sharing with any strangers. The boat was brand new and a perfect 45 feet so we got to go in and out of some of the small bays in some of the most beautiful islands in Croatia.
The islands we visited included Hvar, Split, Korchula, Lostovo, Stari Grad, and Vis. We will have to describe what we did on each of the islands for you in the next few posts so you can learn everything about these beautiful islands. There is so much individual beauty on each of these islands that we cannot write about them all on one post.
