Color us unsurprised, but Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen strike another
style touchdown with their recent collaboration with sneaker brand
Superga! The fashionable twins’ luxury casualwear brand, The Row, and Superga already seem like a
match made in collabo heaven on paper alone, and the fruits of their
joining forces – a series of linen and cashmere sneakers – certainly
don’t disappoint! Come springtime, I’m always looking for a comfy yet
casual shoes (that don’t make me look like I’m on the way to the gym!)
to serve as my on-the-move spring-and-summer footwear staple. Vacations,
errands, shopping, long walks out on the town – these pairs from the Superga for The Row
collection are here to keep us casual-cute and comfy while we stay
on our feet. I have to say, the breathable linen pairs seem a bit more
warm-weather friendly than their cashmere counterparts… but either way
they’re a luxe way to upgrade your tennis shoe collection this season!

I, for one, am a huge fan of tie-dye. While the style may have once come across tacky, dated, or homemade (and not in a good way), in recent years tie-dye has developed a sort of effortlessly chic sophistication that still manages to be breezy and comfortable for the spring and summer months. A tie-dye maxi dress screams “sunny weather is here!” without looking like you just dip-dyed your own clothes at camp, and looks unexpectedly glamorous yet still totally laid-back. If you don’t shy away from color, this gorgeous halter Milly Gustavia dress is the way to go to stand out at your next barbeque or beach party, while this Calvin Klein sherbet-colored maxi is also perfect for wandering the beach at sunset! For a moodier take on tie-dye, this Soft Joie ‘Emilia’ maxi is simple yet sexy, and this striped C&C T-Shirt Maxi is so comfortable, you’ll want to live in it through spring and summer!
Yep, that’s right – leopard
print sunglasses. Just when you thought the spotted trend had reached its peak by taking over every possible fall and winter fashion item known to man, it brings sunny-day accessories into the mix!
Tortoise shell is getting a seriously fierce update in the form of more defined spots, and these leopard print shades are putting a whole new meaning to the “cat-eye” trend! These frames serve as a fun way to infuse a little animal print into your style – that is, if you’re normally a little too bashful to embrace the in-your-face print head-on.
If a classic wayfarer suits your style, try these Fantas-Eyes
Wildfire sunglasses for an all-over leopard motif, or try these neon-accented Betsey
Johnson shades for just the right dash of fabulousness. Embrace the cat-eye trend in the form of these Kate
Spade Soleil sunglasses, or go GaGa-esque with these leopard-rimmed Steve
Madden shades! Either way, it’s easy to walk on the wild side this sunny spring season!

Over the course of the past few seasons, the cardigan has evolved from the conservative girl’s cover-up staple, to slouchy-cool and “boyfriend-inspired” (though realistically, whose boyfriend actually wears cardigans?), and now its become the trendiest way to express your personality through any and all forms of embellishment, while still managing to look polished and put-together! Whether at the office, looking to add a little shine to the normally ho-hum daily grind, or just trying to spruce up your otherwise yawn-worthy collection of cardis in every color of the rainbow, an embellished cardigan lets you indulge in the fun of sparkles and sequins galore while still staying classy!
Add a little rocker-inspired edge to your look with an over-sized open cardigan with studded detail. Remember that comfy-chic pieces should still never look sloppy, so pair with more fitted pieces like skinny jeans or a figure-flattering dress. Pull off full-on sequins more seamlessly by opting for a less expected, more seasonal shade like plum — its conservative silhouette and dramatic sparkle balance each other for a look that’s fun yet chic. If you’re not into the full smattering of sequins, opt for a beaded cardigan with a cool design at the neckline like this one from ASOS to add visual interest to your outfit, or try the embellished shoulder trend on for size, courtesy of a beaded cardigan like this one by Tibi!

I’m always looking for the perfect multi-purpose carry-all bag that can take me from work to the gym, and wherever else the busy day may take me. I need something big enough to store all my day’s must-haves, but not too large and cumbersome and clunky that I dread lugging it around to and fro. And of course, if it’s going to be my everyday staple, looks definitely matter. Finding something versatile, practical, long-lasting, and cute isn’t always the easiest task, and NYC brand Saltbox was determined to fill the void of do-everything bag that’s both easy to carry and easy on the eyes!
The Saltbox Duffelette bag is both fun and functional — made from water-resistant heavy-duty canvas and real leather trim, the duffelette has a bevy of zippered compartments of varying sizes for easy organizing all your loot, whether you’re running everyday errands, shopping, or hitting the road to get away for the weekend. When it comes to modern fashion, you don’t need to be a superhero or Red Riding Hood to take advantage of the chic, sleek vibe that a cape can add to your outfit. Whether you’re looking for a glam cover-up that will do your night-out ensemble justice as you make your grand entrance, or just jazz up your everyday ensemble, faux fur capes are the perfect throw-on when you desire something more upscale than a vest, yet without the full-on coverage of a furry winter jacket. When you don’t want to upstage a show-stopping outfit, warm up bare shoulders with a shorter capelet, like this one from Bebe. For a bit more versatility, this cropped Dolce Vita Sadie Jacket keeps you cozy with a shawl collar and cape overlay, but if you prefer to throw on something a bit more dramatic, this Faux Mink Poncho by Sherry Cassin is sure to make a statement. On the flip side, this Balmain feather cape will have everyone fooled with its sleek fur-like appearance — think Old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist — and even has a buckle fastening to keep you warm against the winter winds!

At this point last year, I was sure I wouldn’t be able to stomach seeing another studded accessory. Bags, shoes, jackets, belts, gloves, you name it — the trend was definitely on overkill mode and for once I was ready to embrace anything that wasn’t embellished or bedazzled. However, now that the studded look has had the chance to wind down and brands are getting in the habit of being a bit more, um, selective about what they bejewel or “be-stud,” I’m actually starting to appreciate the edgy, moto-chic vibe of the detail when they’re not just haphazardly thrown on an accessory for the sake of embellishing it. Specifically, I’m loving the season’s studded ankle boots — the look is casual while still making a statement, and gives an otherwise boyish or plain boot style a little tough-girl-chic feminine edge. If you’re diggin’ the lace-up work boot trend, these Ralf studded boots by Ash are combat-inspired cool, and these lace-ups from Penny Loves Kenny have a little studded surprise when you fold them over for a more slouchy look! For a “desert” boot feel, these Sam Edelman Joss Boots from Karmaloop are a cool everyday alternative to sneakers. And of course, short western boots are still hot for the season, so try a pair of studded Frye bootsto add some sparkle to a roughed-up look
During the tedious chore of packing for a recent weekend getaway, I came to a sudden realization. Aside from the fact that I need more shoes (always), I also need more fabulous luggage. I don’t necessarily require an entire milieu of designer suitcases of every shape and size, but I could definitely use at least one go-to piece for short trips and sleepovers. I mean, let’s face it — my old high school gym bag just isn’t cutting it (seriously, that’s what I use). Plus, the whole charade of packing and unpacking, not to mention hauling said luggage to and from my vacay destination would be infinitely more enjoyable if I had a chic designer bag. Enter the latest object of my insatiable label lust: the Alexander Wang Daphne Duffel.
Naturally, Alexander Wang is known for taking practical, streamlined pieces and giving them an edgy spin, and this duffel is no exception. I love how the embossed leather gives it a subtle sheen while the button studs add some interest without making it look too hardware heavy. This is a bag you can take anywhere and look expensive (well, it is) without looking too showy. The only problem is that I’d probably be too protective of it to check it at the airport!

Knowing Alice + Olivia’s ultra-feminine aesthetic, affinity for everything shimmery and shiny, as well as their recent funky collabo with MAC (that’s practically sold out everywhere!), it’s no wonder they’d come up with a way to glam up something as classic and simple as Keds sneakers! With a series of sequin-bedazzled slip-on sneakers in off-white, black, silver, and army green, Alice + Olivia manages to amp up the normally “blah†tennis shoes into something way cooler than the ratty pair you used to rock in 3rd grade!
I love the contrast between the simple style (this pair doesn’t even have the classic laces) and the way that the sequins take the interest factor up about 10 notches, making them perfect for pairing with almost anything, from a casual dress to jeans and a tee. They may still fall into the realm of casual footwear, but they’re chic enough to make even the strictest heel collector consider sneakers! Just make sure not to get too heavy-handed with the sequins, especially if you’re a big Alice + Olivia fan and already have collected plenty of their embellished shrugs and sparkly striped tees!
