I got one of those ice cream makers for a gift one year and I never used it. It is just too much work. You have to keep the canisters in the freezer, put your ingredients in, turn the machine on and then put the soft ice cream back into the freezer to freeze before you can actually eat it. It was just too much trouble. I recently discovered the best thing ever. I bought the The Ninja Master Prep Quad Blade Food & Drink Maker and it does everything I need it to do from making soups to ice cream. I love this new gadget.
Here is a recipe on making your own ice cream:
2 cups of frozen fruit of your choice
2 cups of Cream or Milk
Put it into the Ninja Mixer and in 20 seconds you have great ice cream ready to eat.
You can change the flavors by changing the ingredients. You can add vanilla and some ice and some sugar to the cream and make vanilla ice cream. You can add coconut milk to make coconut ice cream. I even made peanut butter cup ice cream.
Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream recipe:
1 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup of chocolate chips or any chocolate of your choice
2 cups of milk or cream
1 cup of ice
1/2 cup of sugar or agave or sweetener
Mix all ingredients in the Ninja and you have ice cream.
You can buy it today at QVC.com at their Today’s Special Value price of $49.98.
