Perfect Make Up Tips for Every Day – I recently figured out the perfect every day make up routine and thought I would share it. It is a natural face look that is achievable with a few make up favorites. If you love the idea of just that pink cheeked blush and a natural plum lipstick here is what I used to create this look in this photo:
Caudalie Perfecting Vino Serum is the only skincare company that Harvard Medical School has endorsed as a skincare company that shows real results. Apply on cleansed skin morning and evening under moisturizer. Apparently this Caudalie Perfecting Vino Serum does more to erase brown spots on your face than laser treatment over a few months time. At $79 I am using it daily and we will see what happens in a few months. Available at Beauty.com
Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm moisturizes the lips with a slight tint that leaves them fuller immediately. I love the berry color that gives my lips just the slightest berry tint. I just use this and nothing else. At $8 it is a good buy from Drugstore.com
Caudalie tinted vino moisturizer is everything they say it is – it moisturizes and gives your skin an even tinted glow. I love it because it does everything it says it is supposed to do and I apply it with a sponge on top of the serum. $32 from Beauty.com
Bobbi Brown everything mascara – This mascara is everything. You can put one coat on and go out in the day to your yoga class or running errands or add a few more coats for that vavavoom look. Whatever you want to do with your make up look that day this mascara delivers. Sold at Bloomingdales for $26
Shiseido natural finish cream concealer – if you don’t believe it – you have to see it in my photo – I have dark circles under my eyes and this concealer covers them without seeming heavy. It is pretty amazing and I used a Q-tip and a sponge to smooth it all out after I applied my tinted moisturizer I dabbed the concealer on top of anything that needed to be concealed and I was ready to go. Bloomingdales.com for $26
Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner and brush. I use the gel eyeliner because it stays put and doesn’t melt off my face in the California Los Angeles heat. The brush helps to keep it very precise and the lines are very thin. Sephora.com sells it for $25
Anastasia Beverly Hills brow duo is the perfect combo created by celebrity Beverly Hills brow guru Anastasia to keep our brows in check. Use the 2 tones in the set to create the perfect shade for your brows. $23 from Sephora.com
Kim Kardashian Make Up Tips – ever wonder how Kim Kardashian always looks so beautifully contured and picture perfect with her natural looking make up in neutral colors? What I love is the fact that this brunette petite reality star is someone that many of us brunettes can look to for make up tips. Many times make up tips are given only for celebrities who have fair skin and blonde hair so to find out how someone with olive skin and dark hair like Kim Kardashian does her make up is great and why they are so popular among so many people in the world.Â
Scott Barnes her regular make up artist recently published a book on the importance of conturing your face with lighter highlighting techniques before applying foundation that changes the faces of some of the most famous celebrities out there including Kim Kardashian. This book is definitely worth picking up to find out more about how Scott Barnes shapes Kim Kardashian’s face to make it more angular with higher cheekbones. Face to Face: Amazing New Looks and Inspiration from the Top Celebrity Makeup Artist by Scott Barnes is a book worth picking up for $17.48.
Some make up tips that her make up artist in NYC Troy Surrat revealed a little while back included applying a lightweight gel-cream base like Dior DiorSkin Nude Natural Glow Crème-Gel ($48, sephora.com) with a foundation brush. Pat it into your skin with a makeup sponge.
For Bronzer, create a triangle shape by blending it around your hairline (at the temples), on your cheekbones and down to your chin. Bronzer choice: Shiseido Oil-Free Bronzer. Another tips was to smile and add a pop of pink blush to the fullest area of your cheek. Next, dab a shimmery highlighter over the blush as well as on your cheekbones to make them look more prominent. Surratt uses Dolce & Gabanna The Blush Luminous Cheek Colour in Provocative with Mally Beauty in Life is Lighter.
Kim Kardashian also shared some contouring secrets with her fans recently by using concealer. Kim gave a step-by-step guide to her fans on Twitter.  Kim said “I put on all my foundation first. “I powder my face, then I put on concealer, and blend it with a pink egg-like sponge. Then I contour all here – think of a three.” She drew an invisible 3 with her fingers on the side of her face –  “I go cheekbones, under chin, then the top.” See picture above for more info.
He also rims the inner and upper lash lines with Stila Kajal pencil in black, then blends a rich brown eye shadow over the liner to make it warmer and softer. Kim Kardashian uses Smashbox Brow Tech to Go Pencil to fill in her brows to get that distinct face framing brow look.
For a nude lip that does not get lost, he uses Kevyn Aucoin The Flesh Tone Lip Pencil topped with LipFusion Color Shine gloss on Kim Kardashian. Wow that is a lot of work for a “natural” neutral make up look. But for those of you who want to channel your inner Kim Kardashian make up look it will be worth it. All you need to add is some false eyelashes and some long dark hair with big curlers. Got it? Now put on all the make up and make an appearance at the gym!
Here is a video of Kim Kardashian getting a make over from a celebrity make up artist so you can see the technique they use for some of her make up looks.
