H&M for Isabel Marant Online Shop opens at 12PM EST. Funny thing is that they are closing the site from 11:45AM EST time for maintenance and only bringing it back up at exactly 12PM EST. I am hoping they are doing that to control who stays logged in so the site will not crash. But if there is anything to be learned from past history or other collaborations with Target.com and first time Black Friday sales with JCrew.com back in the day, most likely the site will crash.
Anyhow – here is some advice if you want to buy from this collection:
1. Editors have all said that the shoes are “meh” and for $199 a pair they are not as great as they can be
2. Don’t bother to go stand in line and push and shove just login at 12PM EST there is probably enough to go around for a few hours
3. Instead of paying $399 for their beaded jacket in the Isabel Marant x HM collaboration you may be able to find one on sale at ForwardForward.com for the same amount and it will be an Etoile Isabel Marant on sale from a current or past season.
4. Make sure this is stuff you really want and not part of a frenzy. It is not $19.99 – it is $199.99 for a pair of shoes and $99 for a top.
With all that said – Good luck. Bon Chance. And Shop HM.com now.
I do not often post about menswear, but this looked like an interesting collection that H&M did for men. It is a collaboration with Brick Lane Bikes for the men who love a healthy lifestyle and love to bike and look good while biking and also off the bike. It is functional athletic wear. Since my husband is a road biker who rides around in his club gear all over Los Angeles, I am sure someone like him would be interested in this type of biking casual wear.
In the collection there are rain jackets that have velcro adjustable sleeves as well as pants that have saddle seats. It definitely falls into that East London / Brooklyn hipster lifestyle look as well, but I think it is definitely a collection that people will be excited to see when it launches in March of 2013 at H&M stores.
The video is filmed at the Brick Lane Bikes shop in East London. You meet Feya Buchwald, Founder of BLB; Chris Christodolo, Creative Designer BLB; and Petter Klusell, Designer H&M. They talk about the H&M collection which will be launched on March 7, 2013 worldwide.
The “H&M for Brick Lane Bikes” is a men’s collection combining the function of cycling wear with great city style for both on and off the bike. It is made from more sustainable materials as part of H&M’s Conscious work.
Even if you are not a biker, I think this collection from Brick Lane Bikes will be worth a look in the Spring.
