Chanel wedge platform espadrilles shoes

Chanel made some pretty shoes that were espadrilles in Spring 2010 season. My 2 favorite pairs of shoes from Chanel were the logo espadrilles in the cream color with the rope wedges and the Chanel Mary Jane black flats. Alas they do not make them anymore…

The Chanel black mary jane flats were a very subtle Chanel shoe. The shoe was completely lined in a supple leather and the shoe showed just enough toe cleavage to make the shoes surprisingly sexy for a ballet flat. The updated look of this mary jane ballerina flat gavve the classic Chanel flat an updated more contemporary feel. The only CC logo on this shoe was a very subtle CC on the button of the shoe.

The Chanel espadrille wedge with the unmistakable CC logo was signature classic Chanel. This rope wedge was an update of a classic that would go with any pair of jeans, leggings, or dress. This look was not dowdy, it was downright cool.

They are no longer available but I found some similar styles…

Madonna and her furry vest and Chanel pistol heeled shoes what do you think?

on October 16th, 2008

At tonight’s Christian Audigier American Lord Runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles, we did not see celebrity friends Britney Spears or Madonna. But, I thought I would give you a little break from the fashion show coverage to talk about Madonna’s style as of late. Here is the last word on the show: Miley Cyrus and Heidi Klum were there but Britney Spears did not show. Dave Stewart played the music live for the show and Christian Audigier’s photo was on the back of most of the jackets in the show…little strange. I also got a great photo of Leila Odum and Lamor Odum. Anyhow, stay tuned for video, and photos in a few.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie may be calling it quits and that seems to be the big news, but I really want your opinion on her Chanel pistol heeled shoes and her furry vest. What do you think of these looks for Madonna? Madge is usually the fashionista to watch, but this time, I have to take a pass on both looks. I suppose any press is good press as they say? I am talking about it right? And now Chanel got a mention, Madonna got a mention, and the furry vest got a mention….sorry furry vest designer, I have no idea who you are.
