Tory Burch’s Gold Commodity
Tory Burch’s refreshed “preppy-1960s-Palm Beach” aesthetic has always featured crisp metallics. This summer, the designer has gone a few steps beyond her usual with what looks like wearable liquid gold. Sweet and simple, the Floral Wave Darcy Short features an intricate tonal jacquard of roses and wavy stripes. Perfect for pairing with a breezy white tunic or for dressing up a sexy tank at cocktail hour, these shorts could be the surprise staple of the summer.
The textural Zircon Dress is crocheted from gold lurex yarns, creating a loose, sexy fishnet. Meanwhile, the Marie Top offers a pop-sixties throwback style with its trapeze silhouette and open-knit bubble motif. Either one is perfect for a summertime social – especially one featuring a beach and a batch of gin & tonics!
Finally, Burch’s Panzi Dress presents a glittering array of sequins in multiple metallic hues, from pale gold to copper. The raw-edge mesh trim softens the design right where it meets the skin, making this perfect for a hot night out at a fancy party. Come fall, pair this dress with black tights and heels and keep right on partying!
Whatever you choose, the message is clear: with Tory Burch, summertime dressing makes a new gold standard.

Gucci GG brown riding boots Fall 2010
Some things are simple but elegant. This pair of Gucci GG riding boots falls into that category. The beautifully made boots show a logo at the top of the boot and is made with sumptuous Italian leather. The boots have a 2 inch stacked heel and a padded insole. I can imagine all the possibilities for this great pair of boots. Wear these boots with a skirt and a turtleneck sweater or go contemporary and wear these boots with a pair of skinny jeans and a leather jacket. The possibilities are limitless and the boots will last you for at least 5 years because of its classic good looks.
Bounty Hunter Sandals Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston wore Stuart Weitzman Alex Espadrille Sandals for her new movie The Bounty Hunter recently and the look is just in time for summer.
Espadrille wedge platform sandals are all the rage for summer because they can go with your capri pants, skirts, shorts, and dresses. The neutral colors of espadrilles are such a nice complement for a suntanned leg. The colors blend right into the legs and elongate the leg at the same time.
Check out some of the espadrilles we found for you for summer.
Here are other options: One of our favorites is the KORS Michael Kors Violet Wedge Sandals. The 4 1/2 heel gives you an instant lift and the natural color is the perfect shade of pink peachy nude. For the gladiator look, check out the For a Jennifer Aniston look, check out the Via Spiga Tustin

Look For Less: Alexander Wang Freja Bootie
In my quest for summer booties (and I’m sure you stumble across the same problem), sometimes I find the perfect pair… until I glance at the price tag and realize they’re about $600 over my allotted budget for guilty pleasure purchases. Sometimes I’m lucky enough to find a nearly identical recession-friendly replica, courtesy of Forever 21, Madden Girl, or Aldo, but sometimes the knock-offs are a little too obviously “knocked off,” or just don’t cut it when it comes to quality! However, I couldn’t help but notice that these N.Y.L.A. “Frissy” boots that I found on Endless so closely resemble the ever-popular Freja Bootie by Alexander Wang (Miley Cyrus is a fan!), I can hardly tell the difference unless I really study them side by side! And for less than 1/5 of the cost, I’d say the more affordable pair is quite a bargain if you’re not too attached to the designer name!
The N.Y.L.A. pair (pictured right) also comes in brown and “bone” and are currently $106.95 on Endless (and that’s free shipping, of course!), while their designer counterpart (left) is currently on sale for $608 on FarFetch. I can’t say they’re total replicas — sure, the Frejas have a wider heel, while the Frissy boots have a more stand-out silver zipper (as opposed to the slightly more incognito pewter), but they’re both real leather and look nearly identical despite their small differences! Of course, I realize plenty of fashionistas would argue that the $500 more for the Alexander Wang label is totally worth it (to each their own!), but personally, I’d sooner buy the N.Y.L.A. pair in every color and still have money left over for another pair of shoes!
