Last week was a dream come true for me in so many ways that I have to recount some of those adventures with all of you. First, I was invited to Theoutnet.com shoot featuring fashion and shopping blogs to style 2 looks and be photographed in the outfits. They did our hair and make up and we got to play dress up. As if that were not enough, I got to stay in the legendary Hotel Chelsea in a junior suite where Madonna stayed for 5 months to finish her book, Sid Vicious stabbed his girlfriend, and Janis Joplin lived. Then I got to meet some of the Twitterati namely Tina Craig of @Bagsnob and @JohnJannuzzi of Starworks AND my Twitter friend @MissJennaB who now works @Wetherlyfashion. 

Here is the timeline:

March 9, 2011 at 6:30AM I sat on the plane from LAX to JFK next to one of Bagsnob Tina’s friends who shall remain nameless since she is a celebrity herself and chatted.

March 9, 2011 at 4PM Est I checked into the Hotel Chelsea at 4PM.

From 4:30P to 6:30P I did some blogging.

At 7:30P I was picked up by a car arranged by theoutnet.com to go to dinner at the fabulous Double Crown at The Bowery.

At 8P I sat at the bar and had a blond Lillet on ice with soda water and a twist of lemon.

8:10P the fabulous Tina Craig of Bagsnob arrives in an amazing snake cross body bag that she designed and a long shearling coat. She looked even more beautiful in person. This was our first meeting. She introduced herself and I felt like I had known her forever. Since I have been a fan of her blog for about 3 years, I have to say meeting her after reading her posts made me feel like I knew her. Yes I was star struck. This was a better meeting for me than meeting Angelina Jolie. Yes, if you read my blog you know I am obsessed with Angelina Jolie.

Tina sat next to me at the bar at the Double Crown and immediately started talking about Fashion Week in Paris and all the fabulous designer fashions she wanted to blog about from the runway. She had just flown in from Dallas and came to New York City for the shoot and some other meetings at showrooms for bag previews, and was headed back to Dallas to then go straight to Los Angeles for a speaking engagement. This is one busy lady. 

What is amazing about Tina is how grateful and humble she is about her career and how much she loves her business partner and best friend Kelly Cook who she met at University at USC. Throughout dinner that night with the fabulous @JohnJanuzzi and @Ceanne and Claire of TheOutnet.com Tina credited Kelly Cook for the management of the business and all the workings that make Bagsnob tick. She said she was the PR for Bagsnob. They have changed the game for us bloggers and I admire them for that. With a bag collaboration with a major designer brand coming soon, speaking engagements lined up by her agents at CAA, trunk show appearances for designers, celebrity friends, and every major designer knocking on their doors for a product review, these 2 ladies of Bagsnob are a very busy powerhouse duo that have turned blogging into a business of fashion. I loved meeting her. She was truly amazing.

The night was filled with good food, fun topics of conversations and funny stories of all of our jobs in the world of blogging, PR, and fashion. After the dinner, we went our separate ways to get some rest of early morning call times for Theoutnet.com‘s photo shoot.
