Martin Margiela Twist Front Sandals Miley Cyrus wore in red
On May 11th, Hannah Montana’s alter ego, Miley Cyrus, was spotted leaving a restaurant in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, wearing some super cute red twist front flat sandals. These Italian pebbled leather sandals are true to size fit, and they feature leather sole and exposed back zip.
They are fun but sophisticated – young looking but not for kiddies. In other words, they’re probably a pretty fair barometer for where Cyrus herself is in her life and career – emerging from a cocoon as one of the world’s most recognized kid stars and becoming an adult with a temperament that’s more rambunctious than many had guessed. Let’s just hope she doesn’t get too rambunctious and end up the way of Britney or Lindsay!
For a similar look – trading the drape-like cloth for a strappier look — consider these Loeffler Randall Lila strappy flat sandals. They are Brazilian made (perhaps more appropriate for Cyrus’ night out in Rio?) and feature thin-knotted straps, a padded footbed and a leather sole. One reviewer online said: “These sandals are cute but much smaller than expected…these sandals are just as pictured but the sizing is not right.” So something to consider – but definitely some fun and adorable footwear.
