Combat Boots Throwback to the 1990’s

R13-combat-bootsIf there ever was a doubt that we are going back to the 80’s with bodysuits and acid washed jeans, look no further than the 80’s combat boot. Every designer from Chanel to Steve Madden are bringing out their version of the combat boot so you can sing songs by Tears For Fears and Depeche Mode while wearing the 2017 version of the combat boot. My favorite version after the Chanel versions with the pearls and the velvet versions are the platform versions by R13. They are a lot like the ones by Dr. Martens that were worn with the fingerless gloves and acid washed distressed jeans in the late 80’s and early 90’s. These are updated with a platform and made in Italy with a foam platform heel. I love how chic they can look with a pair of denim jeans or a great black dress.

Get the R13 platform combat boots here. If you want a classic Dr. Martens combat boot, get them here. Vince also made a very sleek combat boot this season that can be found at Nordstrom.com. Kendall + Kylie also made a combat boot this season that is very cool. My last favorite is by LD Tuttle and can be found at Shopbop.com. When choosing your combat boot for this fall season, make sure you get the heel height you want and the type of sole you want. My favorite is the R13 because it has a higher platform heel with a classic Dr. Marten look versus a horseback riding boot type of lace up combat boot look.
