Julianne Moore at Bulgari Chandra bag launch Milan Fashion Week
More than 500 guests attended Bulgari’s cocktail party on February 26, 2010 to
celebrate the new Chandra bag. Actress Julianne Moore and Bulgari CEO
Francesco Trapani both attended the glamorous event at the highly
acclaimed Bulgari Hotel in Milan.
Other notable guests included actors Clive Owen, Claire Danes, Franca
Sozzani, and Glenda Bailey and Rachel Zoe, both who were seen filming
segments at the event.
Julianne Moore, who appears in Bulgari’s Spring Summer 2010 advertising
campaign (right), looked resplendent in an understated black dress. She
was decked in Bulgari jewels, including a yellow gold, mother-of-pearl
and diamond Serpente bracelet, and a pair of yellow gold and diamond
cluster earrings (ca 1940s) from Bulgari’s Historical Archives
Collection. She was also clutching a black satin Chandra bag from the
new Fall Winter 2010 Collection.
Internationally renowned art director and set designer Simon Costin
brought the Spring Summer 2010 campaign to life for tonight’s event by
transforming the garden, restaurant and bar to resemble the modern
baroque opulence that appears in it.
The campaign debuted in February 2010, marking a new artistic direction
for Bulgari: rather than focusing on individual product categories, the
ads depict a lifestyle that they are calling Eccentric Charisma. The
campaign was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, and styled by
Julia von Boehm.
