I attended the intimate celebrity dinner last night at the BLT Steak hosted by Kate Spade to launch the Knightsbridge Scarlet bag.

Alyssa Milano and Amanda Detmer who are now filming the show "Single with Parents" for ABC were there to catch up with friends in the industry, as well as to check out the new Kate Spade Knightsbridge bag.

I sat next to Alyssa for dinner and found out some important information from her:

See the sign she is holding - she wanted us to know that the media picked up the wrong information at the 2008 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Preshow. She was not at the Emmy Awards and she did not wear that white dress that everyone said she was wearing. It was a case of mistaken identity. I saw the photos and I cannot imagine how anyone could have mistaken the woman wearing the white dress with Alyssa Milano. She was a good sport about it, and just thought it was quite funny.

And just for Shopping and Info readers, she gave us important information: I asked her - Whose dress are you wearing. She said " Check the label in my dress to be sure." I checked and she was wearing INA SOLTANI. Her shoes were MIU MIU.

The dinner was fun in the private dining area of BLT Steak. The food just kept coming. We started with a selection of salads, a beautiful cube of Tuna Tartare with spicy wasabe, and dinner was a selection of fish, steak, and chicken. Dessert was the out of the world selection of peanut butter chocolate mousse with banana ice cream, a caramel confection. Drinks were wine, and mojitos. BLT Steak is a must go if you are ever in Hollywood.
