Oscar De La Renta presents his 2009 Resort collection at the Keep Tahoe Blue Event on August 2, 2008

This year on August 2nd, 2008 Oscar De La Renta presented his Resort 2009 Collection to benefit the League to Save Lake Tahoe. This is a yearly event where Oscar De La Renta and Saks Fifth Avenue sponsor the event hosted at the Fritz family home on the west shore.

I was in Tahoe during this event and wanted to tell our readers all about it for the next time you are in Tahoe. For $350 you can get in to the event, enjoy the luncheon, and donate to a charity to keep the Lake in Tahoe beautiful and pristine. Apparently this event raises $500,000 each year. For $3,500 you can get 2 front row seats.

Next year, make an excuse for charity’s sake and go to Lake Tahoe stay and have dinner at Wolfdale’s, have a wet woody at Garwoods, a coffee at Syd’s, wakeboarding on Lake Tahoe, and just go for a nature walk around the Lake. Lake Tahoe is definitely still a great place to visit.
